Dear Parents,
The Heat is on! Of course I am talking about the weather. As I sit here typing away the thermometer is hitting 80*. So we have a little “heat wave” we did not really see coming. I guess that is a good metaphor for life. Heat waves come and heat waves go as do cold spells, and even the rain ——- but admittedly that seems to linger a bit longer in the Pacific Northwest. But the truth is that all are needed to have the wonderful environment in which we live. And besides it would be a bit dull and monotonous to have the same forecast every day of the year. It would be like a teacher teaching the exact same thing every year in the exact same way for 30 years. That is like having only one year of experience. We all have to grow and try new things and do things differently. I think that is how we evolve. I think that is real evolution. So, let’s get on with a year of evolution. It is off to a great start. I wonder where it will all end up about 170 days from now. I hope you all received by September Newsletter by now and that you have had time to give the “Principal’s White Paper” a read. Enjoy your weekend and thank you for all you do —and thank you even more for all you are about to do.
