Principal’s Notes: October 3, 2013

I saw many of you at our Italian Dinner last Saturday night. It was a fantastic event. The food was delicious. A big thanks goes out to all who worked so hard to make this event such a wonderful community-building evening.

We had our Math presentation to our parents Wednesday evening. It went very well. The staff made an excellent choice with our new math program. The iPads have been ordered for grade three. They should be here soon.

The Annual Fund is off and running. The staff members of Holy Rosary School were solicited on Monday. We already have 22 pledges totaling $10,928 from them. I would say that is a great start. Total pledges from our parents at this point are $102,442. Last year at this time, we had only 68,034 pledged to the Annual Fund. Remember our goal is $200,000. Our Annual Report is done. Hopefully, I will be able to mail it and the October Newsletter next week. If anybody wants to help fold and stuff, please give Jennifer a call!

Now, I have to go look for my Halloween Costume. I am not sure the Superman tights will fit any more so I may have to look for something else. Get those candy bowls ready, and oh—and remember the next day is a Holy Day!!!!
