No More Monthly Newsletter Mailing
The School Commission had their December meeting last week. The topic as to whether or not I should continue to write, print and mail my MONTHLY newsletter was discussed. It was decided because of the school’s tight budget and our attempt to be “green” that, for now the monthly newsletter will be discontinued. I will try to write the information that I would have written in that COMMUNICATION —- in this weekly newsletter.
Pre-School
It is not 100% worked out yet but I believe the Pre-School and Pre K programs will be changing a bit for next year. The Pre-K program, which is taught by Tauna Evans will probably increase to five days a week. The total tuition increase will probably be 10% for that. We do not know, at this time, if there will be any changes in the Pre-School (also called ¾ programs) yet. All of this thinking comes from conversations we have had with staff and with parents who are presently involved in the program, or who look forward to joining the program.
We Have A Winner!
Congratulations to Malia in Grade Three (3B). She won an essay contest at the Post level for the VFW. Her essay was then forwarded to the VFW district level where she also won an award. There will be a special ceremony for her at the VFW on January 4th where they will present her with recognition. Her essay may be forwarded to the state level.
Family Photo Christmas Cards
Thank you for so many of you who have sent us your family photo Christmas cards. We are posting them on the door to the staff lounge. It is not too late to send yours in. You can just drop them off in the office. If you want, feel free to just post them on the door yourself!
