Thanksgiving

Since this will be our last communication before Thanksgiving, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you the very best on the upcoming wonderful holiday. I do this on behalf of the entire Holy Rosary Staff. This is a special time of year when we can each reach deep inside and tap into the “attitude of gratitude” that exists within each and every one of us. We all have so much to be thankful for. We have so much to celebrate. Our blessings are indeed abundant if we stop and think about them. A spirit of appreciation for all that we have and all that we are brings an inner sense of peace and security as it brings a smile to our face. Acts of kindness and generosity, and the fostering of relationships and rekindling of friendships easily and naturally flow out of that spirit. And in that spirit I thank all of you who have done so much for this school and this community.

Next stop — CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

Staffing

We are experiencing one of those challenging years. They come along from time to time. A number of things have come up in the lives of a number of our staff that have called for mini leaves. Luckily, we have a good number of experienced substitute teachers who have risen to meet the challenges. Mary Simpson has taken some time to take care of her aging mother. Darcy Carlson had a baby boy. She has decided against returning to her position so Sara Whetham will be continuing on in her position as the sixth grade teacher. Penny Semandiris is helping with her father. Megan Heuer, who recently had a baby, will be returning soon. Diane Blanco is taking some time to take care of her husband who recently had a motorcycle accident while on duty as a police officer. All are in our prayers, and soon we will be back to normal.
